He put a P90 in an old harmony guitar and set it up for slide for me. It turned out pretty spectacular.
Will do.

laptop ram

Anyone ever upgrade ram in a mac? Easy? It's so freaking expensive to upgrade when you purchase, I'm going to stick wih the 256 standard with the new ibook and order the ram third party.

Re: really sexist women jokes

How many women does it take to change a lightbulb? None. The bitch can cook in the dark. But the best one follows some rad Helen Keller jokes. To wit: What's Helen Keller's favorite color? Corduroy. How did Helen Keller go deaf? She answered the iron. Why can't Helen Keller drive? Because she's a wo...

Before heading in to record...

I keep hearing (or reading) that you want to have you guitat / bass "set up" by a tech before heading into the studio. Makes sense, but what does that entail specifically? Redressing frets? Truss rod adjustments? Restringing? How much does this usually cost? Could I do it myself? And, maybe more apr...

Re: A better forum

I spent 2 years doing second-opinion breast cancer tumor boards at a hospital and my VERY FIRST PATIENT EVER was a 30-something guy who had like less than 2 years to live because of Stage 4 breast cancer.

That was rough.

Re: At The Gates -Slaughter Of The Soul:perfect metal record

Pretty much the perfect metal record. Matt Bayles has been producing some of the better metal coming out lately--Isis, Mastadon, These Arms Are Snakes (oops, not metal, but heavy), Botch, Norma Jean, etc--and luckily he plays the electronics in my band...makes recording a dream... Did he do that dN...

I can't pick one, so... 1. "Beer. The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems." 2. The entire Pretzel Lady Episode. Seriously, each line is better than the last. 3. Hank: Uh, hi, Homer. What can I do for you? Homer: Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks. Hank: Hammocks...
