It feels like the synth department actually gets to make good shit at Behringer. Too bad everything else is just meh.

In ear monitors might be the best solution. I have Westones that have foam tips that are just like my foam earplugs. They come in different sizes for different ears and once you find the one each person likes, the foam parts can be replaced as the get worn out.

We aren't using them in a mastering situation but for full on surgical 5 band parametric they are hard to beat!

The Stones (esp Mick as I've heard tell) have always kind of chased the pop sound to remain 'relevant.' Miss You, Undercover of the Nigh etc show this.
