Session Backup "Cloud"

I just learned about Gobbler this morning and thought it would be of interest to many of you TOMBers. It allows you to backup DAW sessions as well as send sessions to other people. I don't know how much they intend to charge once it's out of beta but it does say transfers are secure and their employ...

Speaking of "efficiency," you can set up a Tumblr blog (probably can be done with others too) to push posts to twitter and facebook on a post-by-post basis. This can cut down on the amount of time you spend online, though of course you still to need to be active and engage people in each spot.

API Legacy Plus in SF Bay area?

Can anyone point me in the direction of studios in the San Francisco area that have an API Legacy Plus console?

I'd go with the most well made stands I could swing. I'd rather spend $$$ on gear than on frequently replacing mic stands.

I would say mic preamp(s) all the way. You've got plenty of workable mics already and a really nice preamp is just going to make what you already have better. Do you or anyone have any experience with the Sytek MPX-4Aiis? I figured since I've got the tube Sebatrons it might be good to have some cle...

To everyone that said they print stems: do you generally mix with any stereo buss processing? How do you deal with this when printing your stems?

Note the 2 buss processors and then print the stems with all that out of the signal chain?

If you aren't sure what they're after then my best suggestion would be to spend some time trying to figure out what they want . Don't just dismiss it. I imagine almost everyone here has had a client ask for "echo" when they really meant reverb. If you make an effort to find out what it is people rea...

I would love to be the recall person for the better mixer out there. I would totally steal all their best secrets. That's sort of what I did... but... when you're doing your own mixes, it really comes down to what works for that mix right then and there. There really are no "presets" that will work...

Re: FOO FIGHTERS = WASTING LIGHT

The things I do not like about it : Sounds too "digital" That's funny considering how much hype there has been regarding this being tracked at home on an API to 2". I listened to the entire album one time. I thought it sounded decent. I didn't listen that intently but it sounded like they may have ...
