Album journals
I'd like to read some album journals if anyone has written them during the process, it's very interesting. I think it's a great idea to document your thoughts and the events of the album as it's made. I'm doing this for my own as well, it's going to be a .PDF at the site. Related to that, is a music...

Re: Your disc reviewed online
Hello there, i'm a newbie too, but it does seem to me that Mr Robinson has written rather a lot of posts on this message board and obviously knows his business. Not to discredit Jeff but having thousands of post doesn't equate to having alot of knowledge of any particular subject, though they just ...

It's a dream come true at 24/96 with 32 channels. That's a historic quote. "32 channels at 24/96... hah! Today we're doing 512 channels at 256/2048! I'm going to get a G5 as well, probably just the single 1.8. While I want the Apple 20" monitor, its frikken $1300 - I know I can get a different manu...

I would just say "no" to the project unless I felt I could improve it enough.

Never could get into Waits however when I first read this thread title I thought "Oh my god.. Tom Waits covered Nine Inch Nails' 'Heresy'?!"
Trent admires Waits though...

Re: I've got $2000! Help me make a studio
Sigh. What software do you want to work with? Choose that first. Ignore everything else suggested in this thread thus far. Does the software belong to PC or Mac, or even both? Depending which it belongs to, go with that platform. If it belongs to both and you're very adamant about going Mac, nothing...

I'm just testing a kinda stream-lined sig. I somewhat hate TO's sig character limit, always have to butcher stuff... oh well.

My laptop sits on my desk 99% of the time.
Anyway, I'm never having kids, so I could care less.

Slapped down some bongo beats for a rough demo I'm going to keep working on for my other project, trying to get the idea apparent.

Re: Let's critique eachother's websites.
I'd say not even semi-pro. I have a service but I don't make my living doing it. Personally I think the tables issue is subjective. They work well, but I should probably at least explore the CSS alternatives, but I'm not converting entirely to them. Thanks.

Re: Let's critique eachother's websites.
nlmd311 I really don't mean any offense with my 'kidding' statement it's just I would expect a more professional look from a record label. Sure you could still do the robotic 'mascot' and such but I could see that and the site as a whole done much better while still including the theme you wanted. ...
