Re: Cocktail Drums
Yeah, I would think it would sound great next to an uprite bass, it would be nice for stuff that is a bit softer. One of the biggest reasons I'd like a custom one is because I need it in green. Though wooden rims and things like that would be nice as well. From what I understand so far, I would like...

Re: Disney blocks distribution of Michael Moore's new film
Just as a side tidbit, also, Walt Disney himself was a supporter of right wing politics. He was a big finger pointer in the McCarthey era, and made several Propoganda films, several of which teh Disney Company is releasing on DVD later this month. I love Walt Disney himself as an artist, and he did ...

Space In New York
Looking for space to live in NYC. Brooklyn perferred. My budget is under $800, which goes up if I can find a place where I can play the drums. It would be nice to live with other musicians. I'm 24, working musician. In Boston 3 days a week. Happy to answer any questions. Thank you!!! Ben 401-421-4003

Cocktail Drums
Hi, every body. I've been really looking into getting myself a cocktail drum. I think it would look nice, especially next to an upright bass, and would be great for gigging via subway. I have never heard any of them before. I wonder how they sound. I have looked at the Yamaha Club Jordan, of course....

Re: Applecare- Worth It or Ripoff?
More than worth it!!! Totally get it!!! I got an iBook in the fall of 2001. From the get go, it kept breaking and I had to send it in like ten times. Finely, about a month ago, over 2 and a half years later, they just decided to replace it. And now they gave me a brand new G4 iBook!!! And all I did ...

Re: Drum Skins Made Of Baby Cows
Oh, aggreed. A lot of them would have loved to have a cell phone. A lot of piano players were sick lugging around their rhodes. Protools saves every pne a lot of trouble. I don't care. If I love that sound, I'm going to go through the trouble to get it. What was Gene Krupa playing??? You know, some ...

Re: Drum Skins Made Of Baby Cows
Yeah, the Remo's are just plastics or what ever. I'd be interested in doing a side by side test of calf skins vs the remo's, actually. Hmmmm.... I'll check out rebeats soon. Any others?

Re: Drum Skins Made Of Baby Cows
Elvis!!!! I'd still be interested in them, just to try. AT least in the winter. Would they be less of a bitch in the winter, i asume??? But forget em in the summer?? I dunno. If I'm hunting all over for a rare record, people say just get the CD. I will haul around my space echo and people wonder why...

Drum Skins Made Of Baby Cows
I was wondering if any one knows anything about calf skin drum heads. Besides the fact that Remo skins are called weather king because calf skins hated the weather. I was reading the interview in the new tape op with Cosimo Matassa. He said it is what he missed most from the old days. I don't think ...

Re: How do I clear a song for a compilation?
I just think it would be fun, its something different. And above all I just think it really works. Its actually a project I did a few years ago and never officially released, beyond a small home made comp that some one did in Providence. Unfortunately, from all these kids trying slip samples on thei...

Re: How do I clear a song for a compilation?
Sorry for not being clear. I am not covering the song. I want to use the old recording as the B side on a 7" single. Are rates for something like that usually pretty high??? What would I be looking to spend?? Or, just putting it on the back of some 7", who is going to notice.... Well, some one proba...
