Re: Recording Trends/Techniques that drive you nuts

I don't know if this is true, but it's a great story (therefore probably not true). Someone once told me that they assisted on a session with that uber-famous producer previously discussed (but I won't mention here, because this might be total bullshit) and he had a huge shipment of TC Electronic 2...

Guild B302a Bass. Oh,Mama. Sounds like a big piano. Former owner (Rufus) musta put block letters where your right elbow would sit, since the letters are gone now,but you can still see RUFUS where the finish has faded.

Re: How many guitar amps?

The Vox ac30 cc2 (mine has the blue speakers) are surprisingly versatile and affordable. Can do the clean chimey thing, can do the Search And Destroy/Stooges thing, and because of the class A /el84 thing, does wonderful things when hammered with pedals. Easy to push into harmonic kookoodom. Jcm800 1x12...

Re: Acoustic Space Simulator Reverb Plugins

I open the doors and pump things through the PA when the bands around us are done, mics down 3 sides of the concrete and sheetrock hallway. 40",60',90' feet long.14' ceilings.Every couple years,I go to mom's home town(5 miles from canada,7 from north dakota),and use a grain silo. Great for harmonic,...
