Craig, What about the possiblities of it being in Portland? When I went up there earlier this year I had the best time with accomadations and the local people. Just a suggestion. Hope all works out ok. P.S. When you want to go surf down in the San Diego area, let me know. We could even do a Norte Ba...

Re: Screen printing on burned cd's
If I can recall from memory. Use a enamel ink. It is air drying. Usually 4hrs drying time. This is what a friend did at their silkscreen shop. We used to use enamel to silkscreen cardboard boxes. High gloss sheen. The project was for Angry Swede. They did the marketing for Atomic Snowboards. Contact...

Re: 2 tracks from Maui
Glad you're having fun recording. Might want to work on doing the track sans the vocals and than overdub the vocals. They keep changing levels.

Re: My first real full band recording... bash it please.
Yeah, the boxy snare has plagued all the drum recordings I've done so far (a couple different drummers/sets even). Any things to try in the future to help that while tracking? Mic placement hasn't helped much, but I haven't gone outside the cardiod-mic-on-batter-head box yet. Try the old sm57 on th...

Good stuff my friend. No need for any Beckism on the vocals.
Damn, there is some great stuff on the board.

Re: Live Mixer - Good or Hell NO?
Excellent idea. Is there a way to get that "air moving" feeling with a low volume. I went to a local show that has a shitload of subs and you can feel it but still the ears were ok. I use a 18 watt amp(maz jr) and still get told to turn down. To me it just sounds better cranked up. Perhaps even low...

Re: My first real full band recording... bash it please.
Came out pretty cool. Perhaps the drums sound a bit low in the levels. Try some different eq on the snare. It has this boxy sound that doesn't do it for me.

Re: Apple Pages
Are we talking the .mac? I got it just to exchange files and have a little site. I haven't done much with it yet. A good friend of mine uses it extensively on the road to keep all his contacts up to date.

Turning all the guitar amps down is very effective... cheap, too. Excellent idea. Is there a way to get that "air moving" feeling with a low volume.
