i am indeed in philly. i used to be in a band called Big Terrible playing drums. i hang out at a studio called Aurum in Manayunk a lot too. currently in west philly but im out in a few days for East Falls. booo.

this first track is most certainly not thin. he's way off with that. i mean WAY off. its a little too round for me actually. my biggest problem is the sound of the cymbals. they sound cheap to me. hardly your fault. but i think it really affects the quality of a recording.

edit every tom hit. sorry. but it has to be done. manually gate every hit. it wont take as long as you think... or maybe it will! cut out everything but the hit it self. then duplicate the track. use a high pass (set to around 1k) on one of them for just the attack of the transient. keep the edited ...

i would check into this guy if you are really in need of only 2 channels. it seems really rad.
