Re: Oxford 922?

I have a OWC Mercury FW 400/800 drive. It has two 800 ports and a 400 port. It's working great for me in Mac OS 10.2.8 running at the FW 400 speed because I'm on a Titanium laptop with only FW 400. I ordered an OrangeMicro FW 800 card but could not get the drive to mount using that card. OrangeMicro...

You can check out this site http://www.oldguitaramp.com/. It might help with the speaker dating. If you think the speakers are original, you can easily date the amp.

Re: TiBook fan noise, iBook G3?, 828/DP3, etc.

I have a TiBook 667 that works great with my 828 (now 828 mkII) and AudioDesk. I've recorded up to 8 tracks with no problems and have mixed a song with 64 tracks and a lot of plug-ins (no problems). This was all done using the laptop's internal hard drive. I think any G4 with enough RAM will do the ...

AudioDesk 1 to AudioDesk 2

Howdy. Anybody had any luck with opening projects recorded in AudioDesk 1 (OS 9) in AudioDesk 2 (OS X). I can open the projects and they show up, but they sound really whacked out. I emailed MOTU Tech Support but haven't heard anything yet. Maybe Unicornation.com will be up and running soon. Thanks.

Hey Trashy.

Just listened to the song - excellent. Great melody. I wouldn't change anything, but what do I know. I'm kind of a low-vocal guy (from listening to too many Unwound albums over and over again).

Re: Unicornation.com?

Yeah, I'm missing that site as well. Just upgraded from a 828 to an 828mkII and was banking on that site to help me out if I run into any snags.

Oh well...

Re: The Beat Union - Beat of the Week #002 (2/12-2/19)

Howdy trashy & joeysimms. Thanks for the kind words. I had a lot of fun on this song. trashy - I really dig your song as well, but I'm not sure if I like it as much as my son. I was playing it last week and he was dancing his fanny off. It was all caught on video tape. Unfortunately I don't have a w...

Hey Gabe.

I've never tried in AudioDesk (I'm not sure if you can). I guess we'll have to pull out the manual.

Re: The Beat Union - Beat of the Week #003 (2/19-2/26)

Howdy.

I'm still working on a tune for beat #2. It should be finished in a couple of days. I guess if you keep posting new stuff every week, eventually people could pick and choose what beats they wanted to work on and post their results when they're done.

The L1 I have came with Waves Native Power Pack.

I also use PSP Audioware's PSP VintageWarmer plug-in which can also be used to slam whatever.

Re: Tapeop Song Creation PARTY! Song BATTLE!

Hey wing. Looking forward to the new beat. It's been fun listening to all the different songs derived from the same beat. In my situation, the drums you provided were plenty loud. I never can make my mind up on whether the drums are lound enough in a mix, so I sometimes tend to bury them. I may twea...
