My noisy Behr has an external psu, if that helps any.I noticed nobody addressed my question; has anybody compared Behringers with internal power supplies to Behringers with external power supplies?

Here is one way.
The grid of the second tube is at the plate voltage of the first gain stage, which means making the first gain stage's plate voltage pretty low - a pretty big compromise, I would think.
You could DC block with transformers but it sure will cost a lot.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtqy4DTHGqg I think the reason Paranoid was so great is that it's nice and stripped down. Just awesome arrangements, great playing, great, great guitar sounds, man that looks like such a blast for those guys. The solo at 6:16 in that video is just one of my favorite ro...

It's funny, in the past, it really seemed like the big problem was with bands that sounded awesome live but just didn't have that energy, or succumbed to cheesy production in the studio. Gets me to thinking that live performance and recordings really are two different mediums and require different s...

I've got a 2 channel "Euromix" and a "Tube Ultragain." Somehow both of those titles seem to be insults to my intelligence.... Anyway, the so-called Euromix has been very reliable for me, but that thing is ridiculously noisy. I own a lot of preamps and other gear and honestly, that is the only piece ...

What the heck is this "Google"? Funny story: Acquaintance from my high school went off to college in Boston - not too bright or motivated, parents paying the bills, etc. - had to write a paper about race relations, ordered such a paper from that "Term Paper Blues?" ad in the back of Rolling Stone, ...

Re: Guitar Amp/Speaker Impedance Wattage Question... HELP!
I have a '65 fender bassman head and a '74 marshall 50 watt JMP head. I want to get a new 1x12 cabinet to use with both but how do I know what the proper impedance should be for the speaker? Is there a way to measure it out of the speaker output? Also both amps are rated at 50 watts, does it matter...

Well, PF were always creative, particularly with the intros on WYWH. Now that I think of it, just about every album of theirs has them playing with the sounds of their records as a means to a novel and intriguing listening experience. That stuff is cool, imho, much more clever than the "Oh our album...

well there you go. I wish I had a "b" room. I wish I had an "a" room. I wish I had a room other than my living room. :? My A Room is my living room. My B Room has no drywall or insulation. The snazziest aspect of either is their "__Room" -ness. despite being glad that you're safe and got it resolve...
