Why would you want to boost its impedance? Why do you think it is not presenting a 250 or 600 ohm load?

I have leopard (no daw on that machine though) and you can record in 24 bit in GB, but as far as I can tell you can only export in mp3.

To sum up: Beyer M160, Joly modded Nady, Fathead and ShinyBox are all awesome deals.

The Swedish transformers (Lundahls) turn overseas ribbons from usable mics to "go-to" mics, imo.
