To the OP: I still regret not getting the XR version. The normal one is fine, though. Definitely get the fireport (as others have said, it is very useful). You can record on the HD24, fly into PT with the fireport, edit and even create effect tracks (like a reverb track), and then fly back to HD24 ...

New Years bump... Will do the tsr-8 for 350! It's in much better shape than most of the ones on ebay and it has lots of head life left. Just got serviced. M312b is at 199$ now. Great little board with good EQ.

For which unit? At what price?

Looking for an Alesis HD24, or HD24XR. I would like to try and get the HD24 for 650-750$ cash via paypal... or HD24XR for 1000-1100$ cash via paypal. I have stuff to partial trade as well, but a cash via paypal deal would be fine with me. I live in Portland OR.
