Re: Mp3.com gone - Where to go?
As far as I know, Epitonic does not host music. Epitonic is the best. All kinds of good indy music, whether its punk, acoustic, electronic, jazz, experimental, etc. And downloads are always free. Oh, I get it. You're looking for a place to put up your music. My bad. After MP3.com screwed my band fo...

Re: Raise your hand if you're a SOUND-NERD!
Today I picked up the phone in my apartment and instead of dialing I got wrapped up in the sound of the dial tone, how it blended with the sounds of the refrigerator motor, computer fans and hard disks in my place. A beautiful, raspy major chord out of no where. But the dial tone stops after only 2...

Maybe if I bring my Pathfinder over it will breed with yours and give us a litter of em'. I've stumbled upon so many good tones/sounds with this amp it kinda freaks me out. well...

I broke down and got one too. Loved the tone so much I recorded a demo for a new song with it. All the guitars are recorded with the pathfinder. Take a listen.

Re: Anyone know where to get some good samples?
I popsted a few samples HERE for a friend. Anyone who wants them is welcome to them. Only two are usable in my opinion as the distant ones are too ambient for my tastes. If anyone wants anything in particular, I'd be happy to start the trading off on the right foot by sampling something. I've been t...

Re: 60 cycle hum conundrum
If you happen to be recording to pro tools, get the ray gun plugin. It completely zaps 60hz hum with no or little affect to the audio. Wish I could say the same about its hiss supression.

Re: Favorite Custom Built Instruments
My fav is a piece of sheet metal wioth a piezo on it run through a distorted amp. What a beautiful godawful mess that is. My friend Eric saw someone do it at a show and decided to do it himself. I think Lavahead recorded him using it on the Stromboli record. Do you have a sample Lava?

Re: Three questions:
Don't mean to hate, sorry. I just don't want someone to think they can run a loud rock drum tracking session with one because it won't be loud enough. I used to have one and upgraded when I started doing more drum tracking. I have been thinking about using the rolls as a distortion/re-amp box. I thi...

Re: Three questions:
Sorry, but that little 4 channel rolls headphone amp sucks. No clean headroom at all. If you really like distortion on your headphone mixes, though, you'd be hard pressed to beat it. The behringer is quite a bit better and probably the only contender if all you have is $100.
