Not sure when it was recorded, but he sang a couple of his songs on the Marty Stuart Show that aired this am on RFD TV. Will be some reruns this week of the show.

Presonus 1818vsl usb interface. Like new with original box and everything it came with. This interface works great with the ipad and Auria. I used it a few times to record some live shows on the ipad--tracked 14 tracks at once for 2 sets, not one problem. Nice clean pres and conversion. $325 shipped...

Auria is a great DAW. I use it for capturing and dump AAF projects into Logic for mixing. It can be sitting right next to me while I record a quiet acoustic instrument--no noisy fans.

I like that iXY mic, but I'd want a cord to use it with the iPad.

Sean, I saw your name on the Guy Clark tribute CD. I was just wondering how those sessions were done where the vocals were done elsewhere. Did you have a scratch vocal track? Or did the producer just have the arrangement/tempo/etc. for the musicians? Anything else you want to share on the recording ...

I just got Muddy Waters Folk Singer (from 1963) yesterday. I'm not sure a better recording has ever been made. All acoustic with Muddy, a young Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon on standup bass, and Clifton James on drums. The echo/verb on Muddy's voice is astonishing.

Google "Mike Jasper SCD Shootout" He tested a bunch of them on acoustic guitar.

2 mandolins play the soprano and alto parts, mandola on the tenor part, and mandocello on the bass. Merry Christmas!
