I just got some Equator D5's. They're my first pair of monitors, so I can't comment on the comparison to NS10's. has no one mentioned Harvest yet?! the first time i heard that album i was just confused the whole time. i mean...when you can hear Neil step up to the mic mid-way through the second word of "Are You Ready For the Country?" what was that? and everything's all weirdly hard-panned and what not. i mean...

I can appreciate stuff like Lady GaGa, but I just can't love it and listen to it because it's not respectable. I'm sure we would all love to see/hear music that's completely new to us in some way, but I think the truth is- that's not gunna happen because nothing is original. Sure- GaGa is newer and ...

nice quote! I'd say in OP's case, if the vocal is already tracked, and it's accapella, then no. It can make a huge difference it you flip the polarity switch on a preamp while tracking. Throwing the mic out of phase by reversing the polarity can sound either wonderful or terrible. Flip and decide w...

if that's your price range i would probably skip the Tascam M520. i have one and i'm reasonably happy with it (especially considering the price, i paid $300 plus a bit more to have it gone over by a tech). it sounds fine but not great, and while the routing options are pretty flexible, there are al...
