I find RMGI OK. I'm using 911. To be honest I can't hear too much difference with BASF's equivalent tape (my 8 tracks came with a bunch of NOS BASF reels) but a lot of people are not very happy with it compared to quantegy (have a look to teh Quantegy thread somewhere).

I think I'm getting the 1968 now I know it's has character but it's versatile enough.
Probably I'm buying later the TLA-50, for fattening vocals and guitar and doing some pseudo-opto stuff.
