Check out the Blueridge line of guitars. I own the BR180 and absolutely love it's tone. Although slightly different in sound, the quality of sound is comparable to a Martin D28. They have many different models in the Blueridge line that should fit your budget. http://www.sagamusic.com/catalog/produ...

great job! I have both the Demeter and Randal ISO cabs. they both have goosenecks in them. I've also found the 609 to be the best mic for in the box. Recently I've been using a DrZ Airbrake attenuator on the amps driving the box. yields a much less 'boxy' sound. Great idea/execution that you did there

since you have the auralex stuff already... you might make some gobo like panels and put the auralex on one side. you could 'contain' an area for mic-ing acoustic stuff. experiment with placement of the panels and mics?

Thanks Ethan. I emailed you a month ago. we are still considering getting at least 4 mini traps to put behind our drummer in the chapel. I'm trying to find a program that will make a 3d drawing of the room. Also, I need to freshen up on the info you provide on your site about mix position etc. the ...

on older Fender amps like the Bassman the second input of the pair
on each channel is padded down. I use a bassman head ('62) a lot for
recording bass. I've had the best results in the bass channel input 2.

Zinky also did the Custom Vibrolux which is another real good one. here's a quote from Zinky's site I worked at Fender for ...

the Rod Gervais book Home Recording Studio:Build it like the Pros

is a little more streamlined. Also in Gervais book he talks about a lot of currently produced acoustic products.
