How many (and what for) busses do you use? Curious.

I usually buss the drums(sometimes with bass and sometimes with compression on the whole thing), vocals(if there are multiple leads, but not necessarily backgrounds), and sometimes a guitar buss. Most of the other stuff goes straight to the Master (or a submix before it). What do you do? Who does it...

I believe Aptrigga does work with DP. There is a Beat Detective kinda thing built in, but I haven't tried to use it. I believe it isn't the most intuitive thing, but if you read up, you could try using that. For the simple, dirty, time-consuming way: if the song is not too long, I would just zoom in...

Got an 8 space. It's solid, looks nice and was cheap. No problems with them.

I do this too, but sometimes I cannot tell if I'm truly able to get away from it enough. Generally, though it is a good exercise. Alsos the simple questions, would I like this if I heard it randomly? or would this move me/interest me/whatever me? if I heard it randomly help me separate the wheat fro...

Re: G4/G5 noise.

I believe the dual 2.5s are louder than the rest. I got one at the end of 04 and was very disappointed at their volume. I think they get hot pretty quick. Sucks.

Mostly Dead Synth(D-10) Can I save it? Advice appreciated.

My Roland D-10 called it quits the other day, but I still get the green boxes in the LCD lighting up when I power it on. I feel like it could be fixed, as it would stick on the green boxes when I powered it up for I while- I would just have to flip it on and off for a while before it would actually ...

Re: how do i get that effect...

If you are recording drums, record them in a nice sounding room. Set up some room mics in places that sounds good and play with the distance from the kit until you get the depth you want to achieve. Record to analog, use dark mics, and/or roll off some high end to help get those sounds. If you're sa...
