Re: Help Larry: Cosimo Matassa at TapeOpCon

In the early days of his studio, Cosimo had to operate under the old Jim Crow segregation laws. Ask him about his experiences working under these conditions.

Cosimo loves to tell jokes. Ask him to tell his favorite studio or musician joke.

For blues heavy clubs, depending on the schedules, the list includes The Maple Leaf, Mid City Lanes Rock 'n' Bowl, Delta Blues Grill, Banks...

Re: hotels for tapeopcon

The Fairmont and Orpheum are one short block, just across Canal Street from the French Quarter. Hardly ultra-modern, the Fairmont is a historic property, built in 1893 as the Grunewald and later called the Roosevelt. It has a storied past, as home to perhaps the first nightclub in America, the Cave,...

Re: hotels for tapeopcon

Dude, I live in New Orleans and I'm even planning on staying at the Fairmont. The TapoOpCon hotel, the Fairmont, is a beautiful hotel, dead across the street from the Orphueum Theatre (keynote panels) and at $99 a night, is an absolute steal. You might find a slightly cheaper deal, but chances are, ...
