My PCM 70 is messed up. Low output on one side! Help!
Hi everyone. I posted this on the Slutz place, but I guess I should try here too. I got a PCM70 a few days ago. I hooked it through my DAW and it sounded real good. The only problem is unever output. Im talking, I have one input from the 70 turned all the way down, and the other cranked all the way ...

API 3124+ vs. Wunder Audio PAFOUR
Hi everyone, So I've been recording a few bands lately and got a lot of $ for my 18th birthday. Soon I will be able to make a big purchase for my setup, and new pres will probably be it. I would want four. Anyone use these preamps? They are both around the same price and I've seen the 3124 go for a ...

Re: What kind of drum skins are you using?
G2 sounded good. pinstripes sounded too fake. I like emperors on snare and toms, and Powerstroke III on bass. they really last forever, too Ambassadors might have more resonance, but hitting them too hard leads to a short head life. Also, double ply heads (like Emperors, G2s) have a sharper attack (...

Re: A Disturbing Trend in the Tape OP Reviews...
Theres too much crap out there for negative reviews. IMO stick to the + reviews, regaurdless of price. Id much rather hear about what a product can do instead of what it can't.

Re: What's the difference:"talent" vs. "chari
Talent = doin a lot of it right a lot of the time. Charisma = using autotune and beat detective routinely.(used to be "using the guide vocal instead of the artists vocal, hee hee) Different venues require different levels of charisma but no venue requires a lack of talent, hence, both are necessary...

Re: A Disturbing Trend in the Tape OP Reviews...
What I love about TapeOp is the range of the stuff. Range meaning seriousness of the gear. It talks about $59 tape decks and Walter's million dollar studio. Thats what its really all about, isnt it, living in harmony? Its good they do many types of reviews becuase it appeals to many people. Variety ...

I loved the one where they filled a fuse box in an old truck with bullets and then they spontenously exploded. after applying a lot of voltage it was like..controlled explosions..
