Hosa insert snakes?

How bad or good are the Hosa insert snakes? If you have hands on experience, I would like to know your thoughts. I am using a Soundcraft Spirit with an Alesis HD24 & will be hooking the two up via direct send & return on the board. We are talking about a cable run of 13 feet. I am making up all new ...

I got an RE20 from an old radio station a few years ago, it was non working & sheding the same black foam....I sent it in to EV & to my amazement the diaphram was covered under their lifetime warrenty. I paid them about $30.00 to replace the foam including shipping!!!!! Now THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

This mic does NOT have the capsule of an SM58. It is a vintage microphone, not the reissue. It is the reissue has the 58 element.

These things do NOT sound like a telephone at all & if yours does, then it is broken!!! I own 4 of these made in various years, all vintage, not the reissue....they all sound good! This is a really good spoken word mic, but I have made lots of recordings of rehersals where this was the only mic in t...

Thanks to all who responded.....last night I decided it was all or nothing, so I took the hacksaw & nibblers to the Yamaha channel strip frame & cut out the switch mount...now I have a threaded switchplate that can be mounted to the backside of the new faceplate....A perfect fit! This means I can us...

I wouldn't think that the YBA-1 compliment of 2 EL34's would be enough power for a bass head for live performance........but, if you're talking about a studio rig, it might be perfect!

PM1000 EQ questions....What do you do?

I am racking up some PM1000 channel strips. I have been reading this forum for a couple of years & have read in several postings that the EQ switches (EQ & High Pass) are pretty useless (in the opinion of the poster). Is this something I need to make available on the face of the racked unit, or is i...

I get the part about flame resistant. Since you seem down on foam, give me some other options to consider. By the way, our control room has double wall & double door construction. Thanks for your thoughts, but I only want to hear about possible door treatments, if my idea doesn't suit, then give me ...
