Alternatives to NewEgg
They're great but they charge tax in my state now. And I need to build a new PC solely for recording.

Yeah, but I'm not sure if the companies that come up are as trustworthy as newegg. They used to have a ratings system didn't they?

Dude I would still use Newegg even if I had to pay tax. To me, it is worth the no hassle return policy and lightning fast shipping.

there was a guy at work who wrestled with them all the time. when the catalog came, sure enough he was looking to buy junk in it. tape robots and crap, then be on the phone with tiger direct and the manufacturer for hours trying to get the stuff to work.wing wrote:i don't know much about pricewatch anymore...

Re: Alternatives to NewEgg
The website isn't as easy to navigate, but zipzoomfly.com (formerly googlegear) is now my vendor of choice.
CDW seems to have some damn good prices lately too...

I second the thumbs up for zipzoomfly.com. Just finished my new box and picked it all up from them. Fast free shipping and low prices, it all good.
Look around, it's later than you think.
