companies making RAM

which companies that make RAM sticks are you comfortable going with? I want to add more to my comp, and know the specs i need, but don't know which company has the best quality, customer service, etc. just want to get pointed in the right direction. thanks for the help in advance

Hi Kristopher,
I got some ram from this place called crucial on the advice of the folks over at the sonikmatter logic forum.It was around $200 for 1GB for my dual g5.It seems to work fine.

The RAM that I trust the most is either crucial or kingston RAM. I have never had an issue with compatibility with those brands. As for places to buy them...check out newegg.com they normally have the best deals in the industry.

I agree with both Crucial and Kingston as well. I haven't priced out Kingston in a while, but Crucial RAM is dirt cheap.

I'll agree as well with the above: Crucial but also wanna mention Mushkin - http://www.mushkin.com/epages/mushkin.storefront. They both have nice prices via web, ship real FAST, and when I have had to speak with either of them via phone they have both been friendly and helpful.

newegg is a great company as well but both crucial and mushkin have websites where you can direct order.

These are the kinds of companies that deserve business.

The last ram I bought was OCZ, works fine, haven't overclocked it. I'm getting another stick of it soon. Check out newegg for excellent service:

I'll second that. Mushkin is the only place I've purchased RAM upgrades from in this century. No problems yet (and there were plenty before I found Mushkin).
