Reason or Live to Protools files

Post by Mzkguy » Thu Jun 26, 2003 9:48 am

Anyone know how to get Reason files or Ableton's Live files into Protools? I was searching the Ableton site to see if they time stamp the audio files after rendering to disk but I couldn't find any info on it. Anyone....Bulher? :?:

i'm pretty sure reason writes standard .wav files, at least on the pc.

as far as i know it doesn't add marker chunks to the file or anything, but that shouldn't prevent another app from importing it..?

if you have 6.1, use the rewire plug.. if you're in os9 you can use an app called ReFuse as a rewire sub.. otherwise bounce to disk as aiff or wav and import into protools as any other file..

[pimp]

As these fine people have suggested, reFuse can link Pro Tools with Reason or Live. It runs only on OS 8/9 Macs. It's cheap. It's available at:

www.refusesoftware.com

Thanks for the props!
