Alesis 24 trk and Prootools

Post by Mzkguy » Tue Jul 20, 2004 7:06 am

Has anyone had any problems transfering Protools tracks to the Alesis 24 hard disk recorder and vice versa? The PT tracks I'm using are ver 6.3 from an HD 2 system and broadcast wav. :(

How are you trying to go about transferring it? How many tracks? The easiest thing to do is connect the ADAT outs of the ProTools interface to the ADAT ins of the HD24 and do a straight-up digital transfer. Make sure you set your clock source correctly - and remember ADAT litepipe carries clock with the audio! I am not familiar with the HD24 specifically, but I have gone back and forth on quite a few other formats. The biggest problem is usually a clock source problem/conflict.
