going to Nuendo from Pro tools
That's right. Could be crazy but has anyone seen the features it offers that PT doesn't. Lots! Anyone done this, or work with Nuendo? What should i watch for.. or avoid??

Re: going to Nuendo from Pro tools
Just enjoy it. It's a great application.
There are a couple of odd bugs in the current version, but they seem to be intermittent and not all users experience them. One is that some users seem to get clicks within crossfades. However, I never have and I'm not alone. Also, that bug is reportedly fixed in the upcoming 3.0 update (out any week now, I believe).

There's well over 200 known bugs for Nuendo 2... 1.x to 2.x added more bugs than features...

I run it on XP. I've never had any significant issues.

Re: going to Nuendo from Pro tools
I've worked with ProTools on Mac, went to Nuendo on Windows XP Pro, and now I'm on a Mac G5 Dual 2GHz running Nuendo.
The transition from ProTools to Nuendo wasn't a huge headache; I didn't feel like I had to feel out too many differences.
Nuendo does have a few bugs but generally I haven't really noticed anything. There are a few features I'd like it to have but they're being addressed with Nuendo 3.0
Go to the Nuendo Forum page, it's really helpful especially the "Newcomer Forum". There are plenty of people asking the same question. The forum actually solidifed my Nuendo purchase. Direct link to the Nuendo Forum: www.nuendo.com
Nuendo reminds me of a cross between Logic and ProTools...and an obvious comparison to Cubase as well. The only thing I had to get used to on Nuendo as opposed to ProTools is the Automation. I still prefer ProTools' Automation but once I learned how Nuendo works it's not a major deal any longer.

Re: going to Nuendo from Pro tools
I have been using Nuendo on a 1Ghz Pc. w/ 512 megs ram for a few years.
I think it is great! Sure, a glitch here and there but what app doesn't?
It is bit of a resource hog but what isn't? it feels much more... umm...
organic?... than protools does to me but I have been known to prefer things just because they feel new. AHHH, refreshing!
I'd say "just use everything and enjoy it all!"
that includes the mac v. pc. arguement... but thats another story.
mmmmm... chicken!
the japmn.

There are so many pro's using Nuendo XP setups now.
If you get it setup right you will have a great system.
I prefer Nuendo to PT.
I work on both regularly.
