Re: Internet Explorer
Firefox is up and running. Thunderbird was a pain in the ass though and I 86d it. This browser is pretty cool, although I am still looking for things in the wrong places...

Firefox has its share of bugs - the massive, glaring memory leak tops my list. It crashes more often than explorer too, though I couldn't change back if I tried.syrupcore wrote:please, please stop using internet explorer. please? it's a buggy piece of shit.
Re: Internet Explorer
The integrated RSS feeds rule in firefox. Wondering what those are? Try this...
1. Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks
2. File > New Live Bookmark
3. Name = Miles End News
Location = http://www.seeabove.com/feed.xml
4. Put this bookmark in your Personal Toolbar Folder
Now you can get all the latest and greatest news of my band!
Okay that sucked, but check out the feeds from the BBC, Wired, ESPN, and Media Matters.

I get satisfaction of three kinds. One is creating something, one is being paid for it and one is the feeling that I haven?t just been sitting on my ass all afternoon.
Re: Internet Explorer

I dont think it's ever crashed on me. see, I ass.ume that if it works for me, it'll work for everyone else. bad boy.sserendipity wrote:Firefox has its share of bugs - the massive, glaring memory leak tops my list. Re: Internet Explorer
I'll post here if mine crashes. So far so good.
One downside - Microscrotch won't let me download Windows updates unless I use Ie

Re: Internet Explorer
you can use IE to download the updates--you don't have to use it for web browsing. plus you can set up auto updates. have it download everything automatically and set it so you only install the updates you want.Walnut Studios wrote:I'll post here if mine crashes. So far so good.

Re: Internet Explorer
No way. I won't even automate my checking account, much less my business machine. Nothing gets past my firewall unless I say so...I think...
Re: Internet Explorer
Firefox rules! Makes being online less scary.
I wish we had it AT WORK!

Re: Internet Explorer
hey what are you doing in the land of the freepers?
Re: Internet Explorer
OK,
I hate the way Firefox handles downloading .pdfs, because it completely locks up until the download completes. Other open windows lock up as well, so I can't do anything until the .pdf opens.
I also don't like how most of the time when I open the Bookmarks menu, it scrolls all the way back to the top just because I happen to brush over the UP arrow. Pain in the butt, that.

Re: Internet Explorer
I've never had either problem.

Perhaps I should try and update?
