MOTU's CUEMIX
I run my MOTU 896 (no HD) through my windows XP system on my computer and for some reason when I try to open my cuemix program nothing happens. Has anyone else had this problem? If so...any suggestions?
Thanks!
Chris

Does the CUEMIX console come up at all?
Are you using the PCI424 PCI card?
Is the PCI Audio Console showing you all the correct I/O information first?

No the CUEMIX console does not come up at all. I get an hourglass for maybe half a second and then nothing. No error message, no program.
I'm not using the PCI424 PCI card (I don't think I am so I'm probably not).

Re: MOTU's CUEMIX
the 896 doesn't use the cuemix software, it's only for units with the onboard dsp mixing chip... for monitor selection, you'll need to use the firewire audio control panel... just like on the old 828.

Re: MOTU's CUEMIX
That explains it. Thank you!
One more question - is there a way I can set up my motu so that I can monitor all 8 channels while recording? I haven't found that setting yet.
Thanks again!

Re: MOTU's CUEMIX
that will have to happen through your software, not in the zero latency hardware mode.... set your buffer as low as your computer can deal with. turn the 'monitor knob' all the way down and use your daw to monitor.
