laptop ram

Post by seeabove » Sun Jan 30, 2005 9:16 pm

Anyone ever upgrade ram in a mac? Easy? It's so freaking expensive to upgrade when you purchase, I'm going to stick wih the 256 standard with the new ibook and order the ram third party.

Comments?
I get satisfaction of three kinds. One is creating something, one is being paid for it and one is the feeling that I haven?t just been sitting on my ass all afternoon.

well, nothing in an iBook is EASY, but it's doable. I've only added ram to a powerbook which is generally a bit easier. On an iBook it's all one piece and not quite as easy to get at.

www.powerbookmedic.com is a good source for a pdf file on how to do it.
