USB interface with headphone jack?

Post by EasyGo » Fri Feb 11, 2005 1:06 pm

Hi folks,

I've been asked to investigate adding recording capability to our multimedia facility at work.

What I'm envisioning is full duplex interface with RCA connections, that would connect via USB 2.0. Ideally, I'd like to find one that has a headphone jack on the interface so that one could monitor recordings without any extra gear. It'd be great to find an interface that could be connected to a desktop but quickly plugged into a laptop to be used remotely.

Looking for semi-pro results and as 'plug-and-play' as possible. At work we have newer HP/Compaq PCs running XP Pro.

Thanks!

Don

Apogee Minime can do that. Pretty expensive though. The Protools M-box can as well.

Tascam US-122 fits the bill. Has phantom power too. $200 new or $150 on ebay.
