Cakewalk and Audio

Post by Mzkguy » Tue Nov 04, 2003 3:51 am

My little brother is looking to set himself up with Cakewalk and wants to be able to record audio. He want's to set it up on his laptop and asked me what is a good interface for recording. He's looking to have at least 4 inputs but would love more. Any ideas for interfaces & prices?

I use the MOTU 828 for mine. Pick up a used ORIGINAL one. You'll save $400 over the mkII version.

I use the Echo Layla with Sonar - which works and sounds great.

They have a laptop version as well for - $699.99

I love the card - it has 8 ins and 8 outs... you can even use outboard effects with it - (route an out to an in)
