Midi Instruments in ProTools LE

Can anyone tell me how to run the B4 organ or any other midi instruments in ProTools LE 5 for the Mac?
I think it has something to do with ASIO drivers, but I'm not sure. I'm running a digi 001 and have an Oxygen 8 for a controller. I've tried configuring it a few different ways, but it doesn't seem to work like a plug-in as Digidesign tells you it's supposed to. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I assume you're trying to use the VST-version. You got to have the RTAS-version. Another way is to run logic as a slave to PT and insert your VSTi's there.

I'm not sure which version it is. I think it's RTAS, but I can't be sure.

Re: Midi Instruments in ProTools LE
How would I know the difference between RTAS and VST?
Re: Midi Instruments in ProTools LE
Find the plug in the plug ins folder in your main drive and click on it once so that it's highlighted black. Then hit apple i (short cut). This should give you a little info window on the plug in in question.

Re: Midi Instruments in ProTools LE
Are you on OS9 or OSX?
In Pro Tools - create 1 new stereo Aux Input track. On the insert for that track, insert the B4 plug-in (if it's not in the plug-ins list, you may not have the proper version installed...go to the NI site and download the RTAS version..).
Then, create a midi track - on the output for the midi track, you should be able to choose the B4 plug-in.
In OSX, to check if the B4 plug-in is installed, go to Library>Application Support>Digidesign>Plug-ins - it should be in that folder.

I'm running OS 9, ProTools 5.3 on a B&W G3. Thanks to everyone for all the help.

Also I'm thinking it must be a VST version. How would one run that in ProTools 5 in OS 9? Thanks.
Re: Midi Instruments in ProTools LE
You can't. You'll have to run it in logic in slave mode from Pro Tools.
The easiest way is to download the rtas-version from their website.

Re: Midi Instruments in ProTools LE
yeah, get the RTAS version.
if it's installed properly, you'll find it in:
main hard drive>system folder>dae>plug-ins
