Virtual Band Project

Post by RedRabbit » Sat Aug 09, 2003 11:52 am

Coming up with the subject title was hard I'm not sure it even describes what I meant...you tell me:

I am interested in having someone write and record songs with me virtually using the computer, ftp, chat and what ever means via the internet. I will not lie I'm a sloppy musician (guitar and vocals) But I believe I have some good lyrics and ideas. I really would like to put some of my songs to drum tracks and bass. I have the software, but that is an area that I can't seem to grasp and I would like some one to help me. I am untrained and I don't plan to take lessons I want that stream of consciousness feel. I'm into everything from Nina Simone, Frank Black PJ Harvey, Catpower, The Doors, Nirvana, Concrete Blonde, Metallica...Just a varied taste but all quality music in my opinion. I think I can describe my sound as lo fi and simplistic with alot of soul. If there is anyone willing to learn and write songs with me and likes more than one band on my list please post or email me and we'll start from there. If I don't chicken out by then :(

Hey man,

I like this idea! Yeah, I'd love to try and collaborate. Let me know how you'd like to go about this? I have reason, PTools, Sonar, etc. and I play guitar and drums. But I must warn you, I can get pretty busy, so if things get kinda hectic, I may crap out. But I'll let you know asap!

Alright Dave
just email me (follow the author link on topic) and we can get started. I'm not looking for any commitment or anything. I just want to put drums etc on my songs and learn how to do it. And also work with someone else. I have Fruity Loops, Sonar, Cool Edit well, too many programs to name here but... I do look forward to working with you if you are still interested.
