Got mine Monday, read it last night. No shortage of inspiration. Really enjoyed the Massenburg and Barone pieces, and the letters were more entertaining than sometimes. Apparently TapeOpCon was wunnerful in spite of the fact I wasn't there...
Speaking of inspiration, I highly, highly recommend watching "Touch The Sound: A Sound Journey With Evelyn Glennie" by German filmmaker Thomas Riedelsheimer. It is fantastic. the audio recording quality. the videography, the performances. If you need a creative jumpstart, this is it. Evelyn is Scottish percussionist, very good and incidentally deaf. Oh, and Fred Frith is on it... here are the basics via Amazon. Check it out and start a new topic if you like it as much as I did.
