Deerhoof

Post by peopleperson » Thu Sep 28, 2006 3:20 pm

Just wanted to say HUGE thanks for doing an article on this band. As soon as I was turned onto them a few months back, I was immediately struck by just how amazing, different, and classic that their recordings sounded. Regardless of the actual music, I can't think of anyone who has records coming out nowadays that sound even remotely like theirs do.

Again, I raise my chalace...big time. Good ears guys!

It was a great article for sure! Very interesting on how they threw technique to the wind in their recording process. (I don't mean that in sarcastic way)

Went to their website to actually listen to their music....Well I won't be buying any of it.

I agree that the article stands on its own. I happen to like the music, too, but I can sure understand why a person wouldn't.

Thanks, Tatertot...and who knows maybe if I listened to one of their albums I might change my mind. But they seemed, based on the article, to be very creative for how limited of gear they had. Very cool!

I began mixing Rrrrrrrght! and have to say that Deerhoof is growing on me. It is very cool that they threw the song up there to mix and post.

 - that look reminds me of sharting oneself.
