Or in the case anybody on the Stones Throw record label. His brother Oh No's album called Dr. No's Oxperiment is ridiculous.
Heres a cool video of Madlibs studio

I second that, and third it.
I especially love the Quasimoto stuff - trippy and brilliant.

Hell Yes. Quasimoto. The guy is killer. Didn't know about his brother, thanks for the tip.
Time held me green and dying though I sang in my chains like the sea.

Someone was supposed to do this years ago. Anyone want to follow it up and really interview Madlib?

His stuff is great - and really interesting!
I know there was an interview - can't remember the mag - with a trained engineer who would take his tracks, and improve the sonic quality (not just mix, but also manipulate samples, etc...)

is nobody interested? i'm in no position to be interviewing him myself, but i know people that would love to (but, alas, wouldn't do a very good job of interviewing him for a recording magazine).

I'd be interested in interviewing him.
I know a lot about rap history and production.
Tho - I've never conducted an interview, and I live in SF not LA...

I'd love to see some stuff about madlib in tape op, been getting into his Quasimoto stuff lately, and it's great.
A shame about his live show though, saw him at Portishead's ATP thing a few weeks ago and it was massively disappointing, more down to his MCing skills than anything really.

Apparently he only does interview in conjunction with releases. Spoke with his publicist, and will be doing an interview for his next release with Kareem Riggins - sometime in 2008.
Keep yer fingers crossed, and feel free to PM me any intellignet/interesting questions you'd like to have answered.
