I think my TapeOps are gone

Post by madtho » Sat Oct 27, 2007 5:50 pm

#23 (2001)-present, plus 5 or 6 back issues. I just bought a house, moved, and I've unpacked or opened all the boxes and, no mags. It's actually been a couple of months, I figured 'don't panic', but I spent today slicing open boxes, no luck.

I think they got trashed.
I just hope some more boxes are stashed somewhere.

Just thought i'd share.

We wanted to play traditional jazz in the worst way...and we did!

Oh man...I am about to move...and I just boxed up my mags. I wrote Tape Op right on the box but damn I hope they make it the 1.2 miles to my new home!

I -was- kidding, but I bet there's an appropriate library somewhere (MIT comes to mind, somewhere permanent, but accessible) that would take care of them right. I think you might know a smartey-pants in Boston?

While you're here... Now that you're in AZ, is there anything brewing with Howe Gelb.
Maybe a TapeOp photo essay?

later.

eBaying them?! Horrors! I just bought some swanky magazine files to store mine... I'll never toss them!

I was joking about eBay.

We interviewed Howe ages ago. He's rarely in Az anyway!

Issue #12, bummer, sold out.
Every time I go near that back Issue page I lose $20.

UPDATE:
Found 'em. It only took 14 months.
