An honest thanks to Tape Op

Post by Sonic Surgeon » Sun Aug 17, 2008 5:22 pm

I know a lot of musicians and engineers are with me when I say we're thankful for an excellent, info-packed magazine that's free every other month. I don't know how you fellas are able to offer for free, but I just wanted to extend a sincere thanks. The issues are packed with lots of great stuff every edition, and I look fowrard to getting them in the mail.

Thanks - Seriously.

Wow..

I'm absolutely the only musician and engineer here who appreciates the free magazine?

not at all, many of us have expressed the same sentiment in the past.

Thanks Sonic! We do get a lot of wonderfully positive feedback all the time. In fact, when you see a "negative" letter in the mag it's severely outweighed by many positive letters that we receive and don't publish (too many of those looks kinda self-congratulatory). As for how it's free, that's down to advertising dollars supporting the printing and distribution. When you patronize any of these folks be sure to mention Tape Op! Makes them feel like it was worth it!
