A "self recorded" issue???

Wondering if there's ever been an "all artist" or "self-engineered" issue. There's certainly been lots of ink on folks who do record their own music, but I'd love to see a whole issue focus on it. There's so many challenges unique to that right brain/left brain intersection that I'd love to read a collection of input from those who've pulled it off.

Also, has anyone yet coined a name for the feeling of bliss that occurs when your new issue of Tape Op shows up? Wish I could bottle it!

i would love to see an issue like this as well!

i'd like to know their thinking behind their choices, not necessarily some kind of recipe list, cos that sort of thing is bollocks anyway as every situation is different.

some gear porn pics would be neat, tho.
