TapeOpCrew!
Somewhere in the middle of left-field is someone in a dark, damp, and slightly aeromatic basement doing steallar things with less than stellar equipment. Curious if you would consider doing a "Recording El Cheapo" type of article -- a technique v/s gear shootout, of sorts; or maybe some stories from big-named studio people that went with something low-ball "...reluctantly, but it worked!".
Just received my first issue last week, by the way... Good stuff, Gang. Keep 'em coming!

especially the first one, tho the second one has some stuff like that as well.
personally, i would like to see some NEW articles of this breed.
there's still huge numbers of 4-trackers and small hard disk portastudio ppl out there making interesting recordings, it would be nice to read about them in addition to ppl like Kevin Killen and Terry Manning.
