Rachael Yamagata cd review

Post by song-writer » Mon Dec 22, 2008 12:48 pm

I apologize if this has information has already been submitted or I am wrong. This article on page 89 of the current issue gave credit for production of two of the tracks by John Algia. I think his name is really spelled Alagia if it is the same guy who did work on one of John Mayer's albums. I first saw his name associated with an album for a local Maryland guy named John Trupp who also is in the group New Potato Caboose. And I apologize in advance if I now have messed up the spelling of John Mayer's last name - is it Maher or Mayer. If us old people think about anything too long we can get things all screwed up.

John Alagia is one bad dude. He's been making great records for East Coast acts for years.

Shit. Sorry, I'll blame John B since he never reads stuff over here anyway. All apologies to Juan Algae. I mean John Also. Oh fuck, I give up. Sorry John.

Algae is okay. It means Tape Op is going green.

The bigger question is why a band was named "New Potato Caboose".

John, send me an email noting the misspelling so I can run it in the letters section. Won't make it until MArch though!

Larry: I have sent you the requested email. As for the New Potato Caboose band name, I have alerted band member John Trupp about the posted thread. Maybe he will respond and tell us how the name came about. Strange thing though: aren't cabooses in the back. I always thought you were supposed to wear the potato in the front, not the back.javascript:emoticon('')

Sorry about the screw up with my first ever use of an emoticon. If anyone wants to let me know how you get rid of the java script notation, feel free to let me know. Maybe I could have just removed it with the delete key?
