I love the new Tape Op Design
Just got the latest edition and I wanted to say I really dig the matte finish, spine, and what seems like recycled paper(?) Stock.
Looks and feels great! Keep up the good work

Smells kinda funny, but I like the matte finish a lot.
And of course the content, can't forget the content. Good stuff as usual.

Thanks everyone! John has been fine tuning this for a while, and the Jan issue actually had 2 runs, one with a spine and one the old way! Collectors look out.

I think it is more durable than the previous way. The previous printing format often arrived somewhat damaged or would fall apart pretty soon after. And the ink often would offset as well.
The only thing negative i noticed about the square bound issue is that opening the magazine the text towards the spine is tougher to read, you have to crease down a bit to get it to be flat.
But I’m not gonna complain about a free magazine, I’ll take it any way I can get it.

It really is beautiful and will keep for a long time.
Loved the interview with Chip Young. Great issues lately!

Re: I love the new Tape Op Design
Some one emailed us complaining about the smell of it! I didn't really notice. At least we don't put perfume inserts in it....

Don’t do perfume, but i secretly steal the free pore strip samples out of Cosmo so you could have like 6 pages of and I wouldn’t be upset.TapeOpLarry wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 1:34 pmSome one emailed us complaining about the smell of it! Maybe in lieu of perfume ad inserts we bind in some NOS Ampex 499 to sniff.

Re: I love the new Tape Op Design
I like the new cover (#135) even better. Seems like it has a light coating and may hold up even better. Thanks!
