Steve Fisk and "appropriate reverb"

Post by junkyardtodd » Wed Nov 18, 2020 4:04 pm

I could have listened to Larry and Steve talk for 3 more hours, that was a really fun listen. Early in the podcast, Steve mentioned a project that had "appropriate reverb" I have a sense of what he meant, but as a weird old dude making rock operas in the spare bedroom, I could really use a two page article on the subject.
Thanks for everything!
Yes, I am one of THOSE people, up in the attic, trying to recreate the magical sounds of my youth (cheap trick, boston, pavement) on the family 8 track recorder.

Listen to records, and think, "Is that really the right reverb?" Steve has opinions. I have opinions. I'm sure you have opinions. Feel free to act on them with audio.

I'm curious to hear spare-bedroom rock-operas by weird old dudes. As a future weird old dude (who's likely to be doing the same, one day), I would like to know more about what my future self is in for. :D
