Kudos to the TapeOp folks and everyone who put this on. I thought it was really cool in most respects. Sorry, no time for details. I just wanted to quickly get up and say thanks for a job well done. I know it's a lot of very hard work. I may have time for some more thoughts/details later.
Thanks again.

I think it was great, but I always say that. Still here, meeting at the pool tonight (mon) for drinks!

this was my favorite one yet! tucson freakin rocks!! ok, maybe i am biased cause i got to play to a whole lotta super-fun people at my favorite venue - the congress. but everything from joe chicarelli mic'ing a stand-up bass in the pot luck, to the kooky dunk tank seemed perfectly loaded with great vibes. oh and larry - nice freestyling on the water slide! i miss that thing already. can we go back next weekend?
greetings from prescott, az - taking the long COOL route back to L.A.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.

I'm making a point to, no matter what, go next year.
Sounds like you all had a blast (*sniff*).
Any hint as to where 2007 will be?

They don't know yet, so we don't know yet. I'm voting for New Orleans.

How 'bout somewhere that's not 110 degrees in the summer? Tucson is a great city, but damn.
I think Chicago would be a cool location. Maybe too expensive, though.

I still don't see why the heat was a problem. The evenings at Congress and the poolside were fine, and during the day I didn't have a chance to go outside!

105 in tucson is a lot easier than 95 in new orleans - but i always like a new city for each year
portland, seattle, chicago, minneapolis, san diego, montreal, nyc, flagstaff, urbana - all would be great...

It wasn't really that bad, I'm just more sensitive to heat than others--Summer's my least favorite season. I had a rental car, so I did some midday excursions for lunch and whatnot. The car was pretty well baked by lunchtime. Still, I was mostly joking in that post! I don't think that weather should be a huge consideration for an indoor conference like this.
