Would it be at all possible to use a plextor CD drive in place of a internal PC Cd drive? I ask because the PC I have is...that's right sans internal Cd drive.
I don't have the drive in front of ma at the moment and need asolution quick, fast and in a hurry or I can't get much done today.
Thank you much

Re: Plextor CD Drive
I'm assuming you're talking about a standard desktop PC, and not a laptop.Devlars wrote:Would it be at all possible to use a plextor CD drive in place of a internal PC Cd drive? I ask because the PC I have is...that's right sans internal Cd drive.

Internal CDROM's are totally standardized, and replacing one with another should be a quick and easy upgrade. You do need to know a little bit about the IDE bus and master/slave settings, but that should be explained by the manual you get with the drive.
Hell yes, buy a Plextor. I have one and I've never had a problem since.
