its "possible" that its just this simple, and the values don't really matter that much. just make sure the cap is rated over the supply voltage.
"and making my own CV controllers out of volume pedals and 9V batteries doesn?t qualify as "tech."

Any reason why the connection is to the star-shaped thingie on the left, and the square thingie on the right? (Inside the rectangles).

no those are the only things i have to use in the software
just use tips positive and sleeves to ground as you would expect.

That will not work because the cap will block DC voltages.
This is EE101.
Modular synth artists from the 1960s and 1970s have tried in vain to print DC control voltages to tape. It. Does. Not. Work.

that is the point. if the voltage is not DC then it will work. i don't know what moog he is using, what output, etc?. so there is a chance it can work if its AC and its so easy to try that i?d say its worth the time
