I used to be a big pirated software fan. My computer used to crash daily.
Its so"street", "punk", "metal"etc to notpay for your software.
Then for kicks I bought some audio software. The whole world of updates and x.1 version opened my eyes. My spurious crashes went (mostly) away.
I could get tech support!
Ads like that one kind of piss me off. Not only is he likely ripping off someone elses work, he is preying on easily impressed young musicians. And that always gets me riled.
ps oh yeah, acid, all the music is made on acid. Outside of Black Eyed Peas and Outkast who else?

"...making beats..."
that should be a flag right there that here is someone who doesn't quite know and is trying to make money off of kids who know less than he..
I once fired an assisstant for suggesting, in the middle of a session to my client,
that we "didn't need the real 1176 sitting in the rack, the bombfactory sounds just as good!".
and then the whole, "trading" of sounds...
I'll x2 that original "wow"

just because someone is making beats means
1) they're kids
2) they don't quite know (or less)

I dont think its an aspersion on the term "making beats" more so the patronizing use of it in the ad.
I just imagine some middle aged guy in a hawaiian shirt basically carl from ATHF but all Jimmy Buffet-ed out.
I've worked with a lot of hip-hop guys and realized early on that nothing is lamer than trying to sound "street".

I've got a different take
Oh lord, you can get flagship samplers for pennies on the dollar now, it's hilarious.samplers...quite expensive
Yeah, this is surely pirated stuff. We get it a lot on my local CL, more adobe stuff than music stuff though. Just flag it and move on.
