I just rebuilt my MIM Stratocaster with a white body that I purchased off of ebay a year ago (it was Wine Red when I bought it in Jan 2000). It's totally modified out the whaaaaazooooo, and the neck is totally awesome, which is why I decided to put it back together rather than sell it. Anyway... I just bought a set of GFS Texas Hot Strat PUPs for it for $41. That's right... 3 pickups for $41, new. So we'll see how they work out. Need to purchase some new pots and stuff this week.

For those following my "Back it up!" thread, I purchased a 1TB Seagate SATA internal hard drive with a 5yr warranty for $126 from OWC. This replaces the 500GB WD Caviar drive that crashed on me in December. Installed it in my G5 last night and used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the other 320GB drive to it as well as the 120GB drive that I pulled out... and I still have almost 500GB on the record drive!

Oh I was watching several ebay auctions for these things last week. Please post and let us all know how you like it if you get a chance. I need a nice spring reverb for the approaching springtime.

How much did you get it for?

I think it was $140 then shipping was like 10-20 bucks, its kinda heavy.

Here is a cool youtube video of what it sounds like.

Exactly the spring reverb sound I was looking for.

Bought a Hammond A-111 and a Leslie 125 last night. Driving my box truck to go pick it up tonight. The Leslie has the dual speed control and cable, but I don't think it's set up to work with the Hammond as is, so I may need to have some work done on it.

Thanks for this link.

I definitely want a nice spring reverb, this thing may be it. I'm going to start a new thread to see what else is out there in the under $200 range.

Bought a Distressor from my buddy. Plugged my bass into it, went over some old bass tracks and it was a 'where have you been all my life?' moment. Can't wait to get back to work today.

I think this is my first post!

'76 Vibro Champ (silverface) in cherry condition - original speaker and tubes.

'66 Harmony Meteor hollowbody in great condition.

Scored both from a guy down the street that's moving and got a deal I won't even repeat. Don't wanna make anybody cry.

I just bought a Federal compressor. Can't wait for it to arrive for more squishiness...

OH!! and I paid for a Skreddy echo knowing that there was a 3 month backlog. AFTER they had my money they contacted me to say there is actually a 4 month backlog. When it arrives I won't remember I bought it.
Check out my website for cool songs recorded and played by me with Steve Goulding of the Mekons on drums. Drums were recorded by our own Joel H at Studio G.

I just got an older sm7 in really good condition. I really like it, I think the B and A models have something upgraded from the original, but i forget what, but it still sounds awesome.

other recent additions:
PRS 1989 ce24. Best electric guitar I've ever played almost.
dbx 166xl
Digitech RDS 3.6 (or 3600 i can't remember), old digital delay. I really like this series (RDS) I have several different ones now, on the way to filling a big rack with nothing but delays and a patchbay.
Why not?

Oh my,

More gear buys I am such a gear slut now, there is no redemption :

1 LA2A compressor (reissue)

1 Neumann U47 mic (yes, "vintage")

Arturia V Collection

ALL the GForce synths. All of them.

1 Euphonix Mc Control

1 Euphonix Mc Mix.

I now need to go to a 12 step gearaholic's meeting this morning... just after my new plugins get installed... one....more...step... arghhhhhhhhhh
Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.
