Removing a Macbook microphone and wiring?
This might sound a bit crazy but I have always loved the sound of the mics on Macbooks... Well, I have one that is dead (not the mic the computer) and was thinking of trying to remove the microphone and wiring it up... Does anyone know if this is at all possible?

I took an iBook apart once and put it back together. The mic was pretty deeply embedded in the machine, and the screen, but I did get it out.
I used to like the sound of these mics too. I recorded Blackbird through the pin hole mic on that old iBook. Here it is:

I feel that the removed mic could be re-wired and used, but since I was re-installing it, I never tested that theory. Good luck and post back here if you get it to work!
