HOLYFREAKINCRAP!
And yes, while I might make the same exclamation about the new Shakira video, I'll not do that, but rather suggest you run and do not walk to your nearest computer to download the Abbey Road Compressor/Limiter plugin.

This thing is like an SSL Quad compressor blended with that one sound a Fairchild 670 achieves.
Uber nice. I can't believe I've never used this, demo'd it or downloaded it until now. A major piece of my 'digital mix puzzle' just neatly plopped into place.
Call me an idiot for being slow to this game.

I disagree. When it's the one plugin that will be used on the stereo buss on EVERY single song I work on, I deem that pretty essential. Well worth it.Recycled_Brains wrote:It does sound really good. I used the demo a few months back and have been meaning to buy it since.
Tough to spend $300 on a plugin though.
btw, anyone notice the trend of the $100 pricepoint for plugins?
I just received an e-mail about these yesterday:

and I see Waves is actually ala carting their plugins now.

I got this promo when it was 2 for one... we just hit 5 for 1 today... it is a really sick deal. I am quite pleased.Recycled_Brains wrote:

Compression mode only at this point on the stereo buss and as a single channel unit.permanent hearing damage wrote:hmm... i've played around with this before but have never been excited about it. granted, i don't know that i've tried it on a whole mix. are you using it in the compression or limiter mode? have you had good luck using it on individual channels or subgroups?
I have not tried this as a subgroup or parallel style compressor yet. I'd guess it would accel at the former, but not necessarily the latter.

I've used their plate from time to time... usually on a vocal or a snare... it's not bad.ott0bot wrote:I was going to get the T-Racks 3 deluxe edition fro $299, but now that it's 5 for 1, I might just get the plug-ins I want from their collection. Pretty sweet deal actually.
Anyone use their reverbs and have any feedback?
